Janet Nina Esagoff, the Principal Attorney at the ESAGOFF LAW GROUP, P.C. , concentrates her law practice in the areas of Real Estate, Business Law and Civil Litigation including contract disputes, real estate claims, corporate and partnership disputes. Janet is a Special Instructor at Hofstra Law School., her alma mater where she teaches law students Foundational Lawyering Skills.
Janet has been honored as a “Super Lawyer, Rising Star” every year since 2013 and published in the The New York Times in The Top Women Attorneys in New York section. Janet also has extensive experience in foreclosure practice, loan modifications, and loan workouts as well as quiet title actions. She has successfully argued before the Second Dept., Appellate Division in April 2016, a case that was published in the New York Law Journal.

A graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law, Janet was admitted to practice law in New York in 2009. She is also admitted to the United States Southern and Eastern District Courts as well as the United States Supreme Court.
In the Fall of 2016, Janet will be teaching a pre-trial skills course as a Special Adjunct Instructor at Hofstra Law School., her alma mater.
Janet has been honored as a “SuperLawyer, Rising Star” since 2013. She was recently honored in April 2016 as one of “Long Island’s Top Women in the Law” by her alma mater, Hofstra University School of Law. Janet has also been selected as A “Women of Distinction” in 2009 by the NYS Senate and in the “Women’s Roll of Honor” in 2015 by the Town of North Hempstead.
Janet served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Great Neck Library Association, from 2006-2015 including as its President. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Iranian American Bar Association, New York Chapter of which she has been a member since 2010. Janet is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Hadassah-Yashar Bar Association of Lawyers and Judges.
Prior to the law, Janet was the owner and operator of a thriving business, a retail/manufacturing enterprise with three locations on Long Island and in Westchester County. Given her background as an entrepreneur, Janet has considerable experience in business matters and readily offers pragmatic advice to her clients.
